legal sites to watch k-dramas :) updated!!
There's not going to be many sites I'll list on here, since I don't know that many (rip)
1. Viki
There might be some (ok, quite a few) ads, but if you're using adblocker for iPhone then it should be all good.
As for the adblocker app, I just get one from the App store called AdBlock or AdBlockPlus
they're available in the US but I don't know about other countries.
Or, you could always buy one of their streaming plans (for premium content, quality, plus no ads!)
(I also hear that if you volunteer as a subber or encoder for subtitles you could get free premium membership but I'm not completely sure).
2. OnDemandKorea
If you live in North or South America, you're in luck! Otherwise, sorry.. but it's only available in the Americas.
They have episodes for Korean dramas, news, variety/entertainment shows, and kids shows! Also movies, but you might have to buy those. Some of the dramas/entertainment shows are subbed in English, but I wouldn't expect for all of them. I think they also have a couple cdramas.
They have ODK premium as well, but most everything is free (with ads I believe). But like above, if you watch in Safari with your adblockers enabled then for odk there's no ads and the quality is still great and not lagging or slow.
These are my 2 favorite sites. And again, they're legal :)
3. Netflix
Netflix has a collection of kdramas and mostly JTBC variety shows, and it's slowly growing.
Plus they have a couple originals such as Busted! and who doesn't like that show :))
Unfortunately Netflix is subscription based, so you have to sign up for monthly plans (in the US there's 3 options, and the cheapest is either $7.99 or $8.99 but it's for 1 device streaming- which means that at a time, only one device can be watching) in other countries it may be different
-however, there is always the 1 month free trial: so if the episodes for the show on netflix you want to watch are all out you can always do that!
With the 1 month trial, you still need to put your credit card number and cancel before the time is up, and during signup, it will tell u the date! Also, Netflix assures that they will give you a reminder of the 1 month notice- after, it will start billing. So if you're keen with that option that is also a method to watch with subs!

4. ViU
i think it's a hong kong site that lets people in certain asian countries watch asian dramas (including korean) however, it's not available in the US so I don't know much about the site
also rip dramafever :(((( you will be missed - idk why they closed it in the first place,, maybe because they lost to viki in terms of subscription level or website traffic..
5. NEW! iQIYI
So I think iQiyi is stepping up to the K-drama game. Not only do they contain a great c-drama collection, they are starting to put a foot in the production game of K-dramas as well: My Roommate is a Gumiho was coproduced by them and TvN, a Korean channel.
Also, they picked up the Korean drama called "So I Married the Anti-fan" to air, when the production team were struggling to find networks to air it.
The app is high quality and their streaming service is also good. But it's still a growing selection of dramas being added there.
Please tell me if there are more legal sites so I can add to this list,, there obviously are more that I'm forgetting...
